YOUTH DOING MINISTRY
YOUTH DOING MINISTRY
What is it?
Student leadership is a program created for high school students that empowers them to serve the local church, the community, and the world in a team. We believe that there is power in a youth ministry that empowers youth to do ministry.
Student leadership is a year-long commitment that involves leadership training, spiritual formation, diverse opportunities to serve, challenges to share one’s faith, and more. In short, Student leadership is our way of helping high school students own their faith.
As part of student leadership, we will focus on helping students become better followers, friends, and leaders and paying close attention to their relationship with God, others, and themselves.
When does it start?
We will be hosting an orientation meeting for everyone who has signed up on September 29 at 12:30 p.m. (After BP Church’s Second Service). Please ensure that both parent/guardian and student attend this meeting.
PARENTS
We’re so glad to have you on this team. Your role as the parent or guardian of the students on this team is essential to the success of their discipleship process. We hope that we can partner with you to foster a healthy environment where your teen can grow in their relationship with Jesus.
To promote the success of this team and the impact that this program will have on your son or daughter, here’s what we need from you:
Be aware of the agreement and expectations that we have for our team.
Encourage participation in our programs, meetings, events, and serving opportunities.
In return, we expect this program will help your son or daughter become better followers of Jesus, better friends/family members, and better leaders in their community. It’s an exciting & challenging program, but we are confident that students will never be the same again after the year ends.
